Double 1980s Roy Rogers Sign in Shirley

    Passing through the town of Shirley, I stumbled upon this age old Roy Rogers at the corner of William Floyd Parkway and McGraw Street in Shirley, New York. This oddball, mangled sign has two-faced and is undoubtedly a relic from the 80s -- haven't seen one of these in many years.

    Originally thinking it was vacant, it's in fact operating (though not at 9:30 AM) -- outside and outskirts the realms of time and space all the way out here and appears to be one of the last in the state not on a major interstate rest stop.

    UPDATE: This location closed late November 2010. Sign has been removed.
