Toys "Я" Us; Boardman, Ohio
A miraculously surviving old-school Toys 'R' Us on the miles long retail strip in Boardman Township / Youngstown, Ohio. According to the town assessor, this one was built in 1987 -- no remodels since! This is the last brown/rainbow original left in the state.
Astonishingly, this store didn't have the ticket slips anymore for electronics and video games.

Excellent collection of pictures. It is just sinful that all of these great old stores are all flashy and ugly.

My dad's company did the electrical for that building. I got to run around the place right after all the toys were delivered, but before it was finished and open to the public. It was me, my dad, and several thousand boxes full of brand new toys.
