Our Borneo Expedition |
We spent 17 days, from 8 June to 24 June
on the Malaysian part of the island of
Borneo. This included the cities of
Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, and Sandakan,
and some more distant parts of the
country including Mulu National Park,
Kinabalu Park, Poring, Sepilok, Selingan
Island, Kinabatangan River area,
Gomantong Caves, and Danum Valley.
This was definitely an adventure. There were caves, lowland wetlands, rainforest, and a 13,500 ft. mountain. We saw a great number of different species of plants and animals. It was the fantastic nature expedition we hoped it would be.
