Fire Artist

Fire Artist

This is from a shoot i made with the great photographer Sam Lara. We picked up a couple of street performers on the street, and in exchange for some pizza, soda, and the photographs themselfes, we took them to a really dark park by the river and started shooting. They were some really interesting people, and had some of the coolest stories to tell.

D is for Deus Ex

D is for Deus Ex

This shot was inspired in the game Deus Ex: human Revolution, a game that depicts a very likely near future, where the humans can improve upon themselves via cybernetic augmentation, but this starts to create a rift between people who can afford augmentation and those who don't ,

Highly recommended game being an exellent RPG/FPS blend.

B is for Bioshock

B is for Bioshock

2007 Bioshock is one of best games of the current console generation, it tells the story of Rapture, a city founded and builded in the bottom of the ocean, as some sort of utopia for the scientist and high minds, where they could research and develop the great leaps of science without fear of censorship or prosecution. Unfortunately the exess of power, and the modifications of their genetics creates a hell underwater.

Bioshock accomplishes a thing that few games have done; it integrates a great story, fun game play, and interesting narrative. Making extense use of the setting for telling the tale and creating inmersion. It also has one of the best plot twists in gaming. Highly reccomended.

The shot is one of the most common enemies in game, a Splicer. They are the residents of the city that have gone insane due a substance called eve that allows to modify their genetics.

Strobist:
Vivitar 383 1/8 behind subject right
