I just got a couple replacement Holga backs in the mail today. Now I just need to find my dremel.
The next challenge is to make a better shroud. The cardboard and tape just isn't going to work.

I've been browsing the 'through the viewfinder' group and wanted to try it, but didn't have any camera with a viewfinder. So I thought of adding ground glass to my holga, and then I found this. I should be finishing it tonight. Thanks for the example.

Indeed, we want a tutorial. Maybe you should show this to the LOMO guys (and make lotsa money!). Hail Duchamp, King of Hi-Low Tech!

Can't you just cut the shutter spring so it stays open all the time or is this the only Holga you own? Cool idea! :-)
spDuchamp (66 months ago | reply)
Well, it's my only Holga and I still want to crank some 120 through it. I do have two spare backs, so I'm toying with making a more solid contraption that makes it more portable. However with my current setup I can get some nifty light leaks.

Do you use some sort of groundglass to project the image?
spDuchamp (66 months ago | reply)
Yup, that's exactly it. I have a piece of ground glass where the film would go.
I piece of thin white plastic shopping bag actually works better (less grainy) as long as there are absolutely no creases or wrinkles in the plastic.
