2.5 Gallon Betta Tank

This is my 2.5 gallon tank from Big Al's Aquarium Services Warehouse. It has been customized to bare three male Betta Splendens. There are two glass dividers within and one glass lid above. Without any decorations nor substrate, the bettas can enjoy the maximum allotted space. No tiny jars for these fighters! After approximately two weeks in this particular tank, the bettas cease to flare at each other and actually ignore their tankmates. I purchased these boys at PJ's Pet Centre. This modest tank is situated on a shelf in our main bathroom for all members of the family to see.

yeah i heard they defend their territory against a male in divided tanks until they get to the point where they ignore each other if a fight doesnt take place. a few plants would be nice in each compartment maybe! but the way it is right now does give for very ornamental display :)

That tank setup is really not good for the fish. In a 2.5 gallon, you should really only have one Betta, not three divided mini-homes. Also, Bettas need plants (live or plastic, doesn't matter to them), and honestly (unless you live somewhere really warm), a heater. A filter and some gravel (which is good for building up Cycling bacteria) would also be good for them, despite the fact that they can -survive- in such a bad environment.

I toally agree with neverendingmusicman. Try to do some good for your Betta´s.
And all three of them looks beautiful

Did you make the dividers or did you order it like that? The space seems adequate, but I would put some decor in there so they can hide and feel secure.

I would add some plants for them to hide in. Would you like to live in an apartment with zero furniture or flooring and bare walls?
