      sigh... well... nice sky.
      BTW, you know this windmill is a public washroom...

      When you take a picture of a person standing, the rule is, "don't cut off the feet" that might be said for this pic. The foundation of the windmill is cut out (no context) as it the top blade. A windmill is all about the wings. don't cut them off or you are just left with.. well this.
      The sign doesn't do anything for it either. You have featured the windmill then go out of the way to hide it.
      Should have stepped back about 20 feet. Or, move to the left about 10 feet and tilt up to show the wings and feature that great sky.
      This is a very, very boring picture.
      3/9 cuz the sky is nice.

      I'm sure this great windmill could have been taken from a better viewpoint. I don't like the sign in front of it hiding the corner of the sail.
      I don't mind that the top sail is cropped. The sky is good.

      Yeah I think this photo has some promise but it's not there yet.
      I agree that the bottom and top of the windmill probably should have been included (my rule is: zoom out a little bit more than I should - I can always crop later, but I can't ADD something if I've cut off someone's head/feet)... although cutting off the top isn't as bad as cutting off the bottom.

      I agree about the sign... and wonder if you could have gotten a more interesting angle on things. Or at least prevented the sign from blocking off a part of the blade.

      And pay attention to your background too - there's a bit of tree sticking out on the right side of the windmill and it's a bit distracting.

      Yeah it's almost there but he greenery thats underexposed in the left hand bottom corner detracts...and the crop detracts a little bit..

      I don't know why, but somehow I wanted some greenery in it...
      But ya I din't notice I was cutting the wings.
