Scramble!

Strathclyde Police use this £2.5million Eurocopter EC-135T-2 as an aerial support vehicle.
Here the pilot and crew are completing their final checks before lifting off for a night-time sortie to the south side of the city.

This Helicopter carries a Forward-looking infrared (FLIR) video camera which also works in the visible spectrum in the starboard pod. There are also two SLR's. One is film and the other digital.
The port pod contains a 30 million candlepower search light. There is also a loudspeaker system which can be heard from 800ft away.
(info from the strathclyde police website)

Thanks to the Pilot for giving me permission to take this.

Well in man. Nice and sharp considering your tripod woes!

Like how you can see all the chipped paint at full view on the starboard pod.
