You have a good eye and a sense of timeliness. Your photos are very well composed. B&W is a good idea for those pictures.

I really love this set. I know how it can be difficult to establish an "empathy" feeling with people who spend their time in a pubblic place "just" for a coffee. My best congratulations!

I enjoyed this set big time. I'm sure once you figure out the settings you'll make much sharper photos with the D200 in the same location and light setting. The framings and capture of expressions though is just what I'd love to do! I really wonder how you manage to take so many photos of the people around and get away with it! My camera gets people-shy after I get a few bad looks!

Had to comment here because I couldn't possibly gush all over each shot!

I got here via Garry Winogrand Canted Moments pool discussion thread... I think!?

Really wonderful stuff here and I believe I read some where you shot all of this from the hip? True? How tall are you!?

Great stuff!

Hi Oz.

As you can see I just viewed your café candid as a slide show, I believe all the images on flicker are best viewed this way. I don’t want to comment on any particular image all though I found many captivating.

I like your approach to ordinary situations and people, it’s a celebration of the ordinary Joe and real life the one we all inhabit in various cultures and countries around the world.
I have never understood people who get a camera and then say they want to go some place interesting, in my view interesting is all around you and photography the medium to record what we all take for granted every day, that is until we stop and try to see through the lens. Thanks for sharing your images with the rest of us ordinary Joe’s.
