I love the laughing girl on the bottom right, the weight of the guy on the chair, the ordinariness of the place and moment. And the beautiful light--midtones in which the rest is grounded. Nice and clear: a pleasure to look at every detail.

I thought I'd already favorited this one. The image sticks, the light has that bouncy reflective feeling you get after a strong cup of coffee. Different than the sleepy alcoholic feeling of European cafés. This reminds me of a place I breakfasted in when I lived in NYC, on the NE corner of Lexington and 96th. I used to live on 99th, behind the first row of projects on one of New York's last cobblestone streets. This really is a beautiful shot. It just stays with you. CMV is right about the R Frank indelibility of it.
