These slow moving fellows belong to the same genus as the Blue-tongue. They are also known as Bobtails or Stumpy-tails or even Sleepy Lizards.
These handsome creatures are resident at the Australian National Botanic Gardens in Canberra and are easy to find from spring through to autumn.
This Brown Treecreeper was fluffed up in the early morning cold and looked nearly twice its normal size.
