My experience is that the only way you can
get close enough (without a mega-lens) is to
find a spot where the ducks are unaware of
your presence. Solve that and all that
remains are what I have found to be the
aspiring nature photographer's staunchest
allies: patience and luck.
Your patience and luck have been rewarded
handsomely, an excellent capture, well done. The only time that water fowl of any sort are
unaware of my presence is when I,m back at
the car park:-) lol

your photos. i.e. how exactly you found a
spot where it was unaware of your presence!
I've never succeeded even at FSP. This is a
terrific PED, the best I've seen.
