Yes, would you like to buy a book?

Cute! :D
Baby Boris
My name is "Baby Boris"..
Yes, would you like to buy a book? by 0olong.
I for one would be in favour of more book shops being run by cats.

Cheers everyone! Gandalf - to be fair, the shop is remarkably well-hidden; I'd never have found it if it hadn't been next door to Tchai-Ovna (which I'd never have found, either, if a friend of mine hadn't taken me there).

Trinlayk - the cat would recommend picking up any old book and sitting down somewhere with ready lap access... :)

Sure! Although... I know Flickr is big, but does it really need *two* groups dedicated to cats and books?

Yes,this is Boris the shop cat.....I work in the shop six days per week...The reason that you may not see him in the shop is that he is not really our cat !!!!! ....His real house is one of the mews cottages that are to the left of the shop.....He seems quite happy having more than one owner......We have recently found out that he goes also to one of the new flats on Otago Street where there are ladies who feed him...He has followed me home on several occasions but my own cat was having none of it and chased him for his life !!!!!

Alc - I'm not surprised! He seems like a friendly sort.

There is a cat who is like a bigger version of him ,(Boris),that hangs around "Retro" in Otago Street......This cat is known as Callum.....He will lie very unconcerned at the closemouth oblivious to the noise of Great Western Road....He is friendly and is used to people.....

BORIS! oh how i miss that cat :) going back up this weekend, will drop in and say hello :)

eagle: there used to be a huge ginger tom as well- boris' dad?

The ginger tom was called "Trevor".....He disappeared one night.....From piecing various clues together I suspect that he was run over....We never actually found out what happened to him....But Trevor enjoyed his years with us.....You see,he was living in a house ion the South Side of Glasgow with a lady who would take in strays and unwanted cats....He did not get on with the othere cats,so he found a home with us...Little "Baby Boris" would wander in as a tiny little kitten, eager to meet another cat, steal some food, and get on Trevor's nerves.....But Boris has a great personality of his own....

I swear I searched for a "cat book" group, but didn't come up with anything! (Okay, I knew about the libraries and bookstores one, but I had something a little more broad in mind for this one.) Maybe it doesn't have the same keywords I think of. Also, I wanted one to include letters as well, since I've seen so many great photos of cats on letters also. Thanks for adding, anyway!
