Silvery Pearl

    Chai Teahouse says:

"Made from the tender leaves of green tea. These wonderfully fragrant pearls are soothing to drink and magical to watch as they slowly unfurl into beautiful leaf and bud sets. Crafted from spring picked southern Chinese green tea, each individual pearl is a set of 3 to 4 tender silvery leaf buds, produce clear yellow green tea with a slightly sweet, aromatic fresh flavor which is one of this tea's particular characteristics. "

Incidentally, this picture is now hanging at the teahouse, along with three Darjeeling landscapes.

      Tea, or hairballs?? ;o)

No, really, that's fascinating... never seen tea like that before.

Me neither! Or I suppose I had vaguely seen it in passing, but never really looked at it. I'm looking forward to tasting it now.

The leaves are so hairy that I'm wondering if this is really some kind of rolled white tea...
