    ...and there was light!

    The doors of the public library open as if by magic, flooding forth golden light redolent with the wisdom of the ages.

    Or something like that, anyway.

      Most off the older public libraries do. You need to tell the public very loudly that there is wisdom behind the doors.

      Thank you! It was wonderfully fortuitous, I was supposed to be meeting P outside the National Library (opposite) and she was late for some reason, so I wandered down the road a bit and saw the sunset light shining through the doors of the Central Library... then, as I was getting ready to take this shot someone managed to activate the automatic doors so that I was able to catch them at their most inviting. :)

      I've sent this to the people at the library and they seem quite interested - it may be going to make its way onto some promotional material type stuff. Yay!

      Now thats an entrance to a library. None of this modern minimalist crap. I want a good old fashioned old world feel when I go to the library. I guess I'm a romantic like that
