• whats going on with that blue cloud! - Darren White Photography
  • Checking the RAW file :)

This was just as the hail was passing so this cloud was in the shadow of the storm cloud.

There isn't much two steps to the left....

I spent a wonderful evening sitting on the edge of a cliff, chatting with Aaron and Kevin as we enjoyed the unpredictable, but dramatic spring weather. I really love the big "poofy" spring clouds.

This is a "digital ND" blend. And if you're one of the people I've told I'd send a how to do this, I'm writing it right now.

Edit: I've got a rough draft of what I meant by a "Digital ND" blend up on my blog - check it out and leave me suggestions about how I can make it clearer or more helpful...I'm going to bed....

with the shots being taken 6 minutes apart its hard to tell but I am favoring your processing a bit more because its how I would have wanted to capture the scene....

    see note!

Beautiful light hitting the clouds. Great job! I'll look forward to seeing how you processed this.

We had a hailstorm in Northern California today - I left the windows to my car open and needless to say the dry cleaning I picked up wasn't so dry...

oooh off to read. I'm horrible at layers but I think since I don't have a GND then I need to do SOMETHING til I get one anyway. My PSP isn't any CS4 but it'll do in a pinch :-)

Classic shooting conditions for the gorge, lucky you! I shall be interested to see if your blending is similar to things I do. Looking forward to it.
