Columbia Gorge

I like this one much better! I continued to process my pictures after posting the last image - and I think I really jumped the gun with it - there were several much better pictures, but I got all hung up on the god rays in the last one that I didn't really give them a shot.

I met Darren after work at Crown Point with the hope that the weather would produce an interesting sunset. With forecasts of hail and lighting and perhaps some cloud breaks around sunset, I was crossing my fingers for an interesting sunset and really hoping for anything other then a soaking wet evening. Well the sunset did not disappoint and we stayed dry and the clouds broke right as they needed to and we had a magnificent sunset!

After the sunset, I ended up talking to Matt Abinante who's work I've enjoyed on flickr for a while now and who was also at Crown Point for the sunset.

And a huge special thanks to Darren for loaning me his extra battery. If he hadn't I would have been watching this is my rear view mirror as I rushed back to crown point. Thanks again man!
