Columbia

I got up early yesterday for the sunrise on the Columbia. Unfortunately, the purples and pinks I was hoping for didn't show up. However, the golden light that did mixed nicely with the dark blue clouds which were clearing out so, while it wasn't what I was hoping for, it still made for quite the scene. Besides, the clouds were just fantastic!

Last night there was a lovely array of purples and oranges... a combination of transmitted light way after sunset (maybe 6:45?) and some reflected from the sodium vapor lights. I wished I had the time to photograph, but I didn't. Loving the blues in this - they are very rich :-)
