Gratefulness, revisited at Christmas

Inspired by a similar photo viewed online taken recently at a newspaper site, I decided to visit the National Cemetary in Arlington.

I'm grateful that the wreaths are there, and the dearly departed are given respect with these gifts. It puts things in perspective. 2009 may not have been the perfect year for so many people, but I'm glad to go through those things that have strengthened me this year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Flickr Friends!

Powerful shot. Without the snow, it wouldn't have the same impact. You picked a great time of day, with that light.
