      Just make it a desktop, :P close it, connect external display, use a apple remote to turn it on, wella!

      That's a pretty good idea. Syl should buy a new 13" MBP, give it to me, I give her my MacBook, then demote this to be used in the living room. Hmm, now all I need to do is convince her that it would be the economical solution.

      It's "beautiful" damage. That's why. You should smile knowing your broken LCD is unique. Lol. No one will have a broken screen exactly like yours.
