Playing around with the my old and new 580EX IIs and ST-E2 with Kala. I've got a lot to figure out still.

Strobist: 580EXII with blue Gel at wall camera left. Another 580EX II bare at Kala from right on stand.

Great pose! She looks a little underexposed to me.

jenerik images: Thanks! You are right she is under exposed but this was first time out with two 580EXIIs I've still got plenty to figure out and learn with them.

She's got a look, for sure. If you shot in RAW there's plenty more dynamic range to use. Try pushing the exposure up a third or half in your RAW converter and see what you get.

I did bring it up quite a bit in raw already. in a larger view you start to see some noise from it. It was the 1st time out with two flashes in ETTL mode and I got a few decent ones so I'm not going to complain too much.

Manual may seem a hassle to have to adjust, but I feel like it tends to be more true to what you want to see than the camera's often "iffy" ETTL estimates. Punch that puppy to 1/2 power or so, about four to eight feet from her, then just chimp a stop up or down on the camera... et voila!
