Paper Clips

    At my evening job I work as a mail room worker where I sort cheques. Sometimes cheques come fastened with these colourful paper clips, and because I found these paper clips very pretty I decided to collect them (instead of them being thrown in the garbage) and photograph them. Here is what I came up with. I hope you like the picture :)

      Thank you :) I do have a good day job (I am working as an environemental conservation engineer for a government agency), but I still took this evening job because I figured it is better to work in the evenings than spend my time on facebook (also, this evening job keeps me moving since I sit down all day long at my day job).

      Wise because I saved the paper clips? Well, I think it is a waste to throw them in the garbage (I already wrote the CEO an anonymous letter about this and now they save the paper clips and elastic bands and redistribute them to local branches rather than throw them in the garbage). Also, I always found stationary stuff (stickers, crayons, wrapping, etc), attractive...I can't resist colourful things or the smell of a new sharpened pencil!

      Wise because I have two jobs? Well, I am at an age where I should really start building my life and put it together. I am a traditional man where I believe it is my responsibility to provide for my family if it is God's will for me to get married one day.

      I miss flickr and everyone of my flickr friends too...but I am just too busy. I will definitely check your photo tomorrow :)

      Did you see the movie You've Got Mail? I love when he tells her that he'd send her a bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils. It get's me every time!

      I love that movie (Tom Hanks is amazing)! But I watched it few years ago so I don't remember that particular scene :( I understand that as a gift because I like to stroll through stationary stores!
