Oh Canada
This is a photo of the Canadian flag that I took a couple of days ago. What beautiful colours, don’t you agree? The flag by itself is very simple, but I love it because it represents Canada.
Most of the world does not have a correct idea about Canada, my family and I certainly didn’t. My relatives in Canada used to send us postcards of cabinets covered with snow and wolves! Yea, you can imagine our shock when we arrived to Toronto!
Since we came to Canada in late of 1999 and until today we have not stopped appreciating it as a country and a place to live in. We can actually go anywhere we want and feel secure and safe! We can buy whatever we want to without wondering if someone is watching us or following us!
You can go out for a walk as late as you want and you will be fine—even if you are a young woman! You can carry a camera around your neck without the fear of some on stealing it, or thinking you are a spy!
You can dye your hair red, green, or purple if you want to and everybody will treat you with respect! You can be a Christian and no one will give you hard time about it. You can actually go to the police and get justice—amazing, eh?
But just as important as having freedom you actually have rights here! Whoever does not like the law, or the police force, try to live in a country were the law is not respected or applied. Believe me, you will have a completely new perspective and appreciation of the law. And you will thank God for the Ten Commandments, and all His laws.
I love Canada just as much as I love my home country and even more. Canada is the kind of country that you can’t help but love it :)
PS: My hands were freezing so I told Jesus to please send wind for the flag to waver because I couldn’t wait any longer, and that I would wait another 10 seconds then I would leave if there were still no wind. After 10 seconds just as I was about to leave the wind picked up speed so much that I took shot after shot; I took about 12 shots, and when I left the flag was still wavering :)

Hello from a fellow Canadian and sister in Christ living in the U.S. Good job on keeping the camera still with freezing hands! Your thankfulness is inspiring.

Just saw this (I thought you had a flag pic) and I just read your comments more thoroughly....wonderful comments!
It is because the gospel is preached and our previous generations cared about God and Christ that America and Canada have the freedoms they have and are experiencing. We all need to be able to understand what your comments are actually stating.....that the freedom is a gift from God and should be respected and upheld.
How can the other nations recognize what you have recognized when they see so much of the porn and evil movies that some people in this country have produced and the lack of morality shown on the airwaves of tv........how can they see the America and Canada that we have seen (and that we are also seeing being degraded). The children in the middle eastern countries and other countries need to know that there are peace loving people and ways of living yet they do not always have the peace in their own country to know what to recognize as truly peace. Thanks for your testimony above...it is appreciated.

Wonderful comments about Canada. So nice to hear in these days of world unrest. This comment may be late but I was wondering if I could use this image as a backdrop for singing the words to "O Canada"....like tomorrow?! This is through Taber New Life Church:
www.tabernewlifechurch.com
Taber Alberta has the Olympic torch running through town as well as planned festivities tomorrow with the Corb Lund band performing as well as some Olympic athletes, NHL Oldtimers and Calgary Flames Oldtimers hockey game, etc...
Anyways, the gameplan is that everyone dresses in red and heads to the festivities after a short church service(s). This image is the best Canadian Flag that I have found on the internet.
Thanks in advance?!
