Buzzards (a very long way away)

Almost embarrassed to post this, and have done so very much because of the subject (which I thought was great) rather than the quality of the image (which is questionable to say the least).
In my defence I was sat in a hide at Gigrin Farm Red Kite feeding centre with my trusty 85mm lens in a sea of 500mm camouflaged jobbies (feeling more than a little inadequate).
Wildlife has never been my thing, but for the opportunity to take something like this I can definitely feel a new lens saving fund coming on......

Would welcome your view, please be gentle :)

      Very cool action shot.

I know what you mean about posting for subject matter more so than quality... I posted one a bit ago of a mother bear and three cubs that was a bit noisy and blurry but that I still thought was worth sharing.

You've certainly caught the moment. It's the tension & energy in the shot that makes it for me.

Great action shot. One seems to be surrendering to the other!

Stunning moment, don't worry about the quality, you've caught the moment and it tells a story.

Like your picture and share your sentiments. It is a little overwhelming at Gigrin with the 500mm machine guns rattling off around you. I wonder how many pictures these people capture that they actually use or do they work on the basis if you take enough one is bound to be OK.

Great catch! Start saving and when you get that 500mm you'll be hooked. They're great for shooting sports too if you need any further justification ;-)

Great action shot, but I think they may be buzzards. One day I will get to Gigrin!!!!!

Nice shot but they are common buzzards.
Save up for a 500f4 and most shots will be keepers ;-)
