Ice Cream with Bokeh
We had some ice cream at "Berthillons" (29-31 rue saint
Louis en l'ile) because our guidebook said you can get the best ice
cream in Paris there. But to be honest, it was gross *lol* But at
least it made a nice picture.
We have learned our lesson - never trust a guidebook when it comes to
ice cream!!!
Wir haben uns ein Eis bei "Berthillons" (29-31 rue saint Louis en l'ile) gekauft, weil unser Reiseführer meinte, dass man dort das beste Eis in Paris kriegen könnte. Aber um ehrlich zu sein, es war ekelig *lol* Naja, wenigstens hat's fürs Foto noch getaugt. Und wir haben was fürs Leben gelernt: Niemals einem Reiseführer vertrauen wenn es um Eis geht!!!

Such a lovely colourful image and I think I agree with the cropping suggestion .....in a nice friendly way of course :-)....with such joyfull pots it's a shame the ice cream was gross :-(

Yes, it really was gross! We could not eat it and threw it away in the end. Maybe we are spoiled because we really have some yumme ice cream at home, in Vienna.
Regarding the crop suggetions: I like this crop more because I think a different crop would make the whole picture less interesting. I also like the cups on the left :-) But I guess that's a matter of taste.

That might have been the artisan glacier I sold my French grandmother's family recipe of 'sorbet aux céleris' and 'Frappé aux concombre' to.
A secret traded from generations in our family from mother to daughter until I was ..uh.. a bit short on financial resources and had to take that unfortunate step.

Really? I had Berthillon and it was fantastic!! I was also told that they actually close for summer... so perhaps it's not the same shop? :P
