There are a lot of books available on the
subject. That is how I got started.
To really learn, you have to dive right in
and work with leather. No amount of reading
can replace hands-on experience. Most of the
basic tools needed are already available in
your house. A craft knife, needles and
threads, and an awl. Just need to buy some
leather.
