cold solitude

    Lucerne, Switzerland.

Was digging through the archive and found this. Thought it's a fitting image to upload considering how hot it's been in Perth (40+ degree).

Fantastic image! Love the deep red, almost blood colour of the boat house.

Thanks Kelvin. The Clarence is still rising, expected to peak tomorrow morning. It has come up fairly quick. I have chosen to live a little up the hill because of floods. However, mildew is growing on my floor boards again and my moisture munchers in my bag need a daily refreshing in the oven.

Great image Kelvin. love how the red house makes the whole image so contrast with the rest of the colors.

I love this picture, the contrast between the solid and liquid elements, between the cold blue water and the hot red warehouse (I guess ?), plus the purple sky.... Well done. I need to go to Switzerland one day :)

Hi Kelvin. I am waiting on the new shot which was the winner at the WP comp. But I know you must have more important things to do... Congratulations on the birth of your child. Good work and I hope all went well.

Hey Frank, thanks! Yep everything went pretty smoothly considering that this is our first child. I'll post the pic (the WP pic, hmm and maybe the baby too lol) as soon as I get the chance :-)

I like the moodiness of this one and the contrasting tones.

I used to work on Mt Rigi for a whole winter season...at the Mark Twain Bar. An interesting experience, that's for sure~
Pilatus is great, too, of course. Definitely worth a visit.
