129/365: Endgame

    31.3.09

Endgame for the ranunculus, anyway. Such a strange and unwieldy name.

Yesterday, I thought hard about giving this up. I had a stressy moment about continuing to fit everything in. Work too busy; life too hectic. And I'm bored of taking flowers. But, hey, I'm still here.

Trying to catch up again, but I may be a bit of a passer-by for a while. :)

Yeah, keeping upwith a 365 project is difficult, I am terriby behind. This is SO beautiful! Love the minimalist comp.

Another lovely shot (keep going, keep going)! You're great!

      No, no, no! Keep going!!
I know what you mean, some days are all too much and who needs to worry about putting up a well composed and executed photo as well, right? But I, for one, really look forward to your photographs. I'd miss you. :)

The soft palette in this comp is so very pretty. And I'm so NOT tired of your flowers.

      Hang in there.

Beautiful! Don't give up. Your work is so lovely and inspiring. We all know that time can be tough and sometimes the work is not everything we want it to be. But, keep plugging away and the joy of it will come back.

And, what I wouldn't give to have a window like this in my house. Wow.

I agree that this shot is serene and calming, contrary to the caption. Wonderful light and muted colours. By public demand you must stay!! I think you'd have to be some kind of machine not to want to give up on the 365 thing from time to time (or once a week!), it can become a little all-encompassing and overwhelming. And who doesn't doubt themselves occasionally. But you've already achieved so much in 129 days, just think how that will feel at the end.

Clicked through from the thumbnail because I liked the composition so much, but oh yes, I agree about the 365 stress!! Really, though, the flowers are gorgeous in that light.

here's another vote for you to stay :) This is quite beautiful. I know I've felt the nagging feeling to give up at least twice so far in my 365, but I haven''t yet. hang in there.

the ups and downs of 365, inspiration will come back to you, I promise. I know exactly how you feel, but sometimes you can run with the feelings and use those as your inspiration for doing photos.
Having said all that, I hope it chills out a bit for you and I agree with Ellie, you've got the most famous window sill on 365! I don't think you've done a picture on it that I haven't thought was excellent. :-)

such a pretty photo - you can never have to many pretty flower shots...glad you didn't give up! :)

I'm so glad you're still here. My deal with myself, for what it's worth, is that if I want to quit I have to continue on for a couple more days and then see if I still want to stop. So far the wanting to quit has always passed by then.

There's a softness and beauty in this photo that's really lovely.

    28. KeelHauled Mike (39 months ago | reply)

everyday i say is my last, if Amanda could have a dollar for every time i said f this i quit, we could go to the dollar menu every day! and for this reason alone i try not to quit, it will come down to my big toe if it has to and i will try to spare everyone of that. my glass is empty, stick with it. your stuff is great

I agree with everyone here: Your photos are fantastic! You have an amazing and very creative eye. I look forward to every one of your photos.

But there is no doubt that this project wears you down. Wouldn't it be so much easier if this were all that you had to think about?
