driving up to "las canadas"
driving up to see spains highest mountain, the vulcano El Teide
(teneriffa, canarian islands).
the forest you´re passing is of eucalyptus and bay trees - i´ve never
had such fresh air before. the fog you see are low hanging clouds; the
little rainbow came with sun.
that day it was raining when i started to the crater of the Teide (about 2000m), but i had the luck to to break through the clouds that were stuck ca 1200m. driving on i had the purest sun, while the rest of the island looked like covered with cotton wool.
but this later, first i took a walk through the woods.

oops, update:
I drove to the "Caldera de las Canadas", which is the old crater (about 11 miles diameter) at 2000m. In the middle of the caldera is the new vulcano, the El Teide, rising up to a 3700 & sth.
So the forrest you see doesn´t belong to "Las Canadas", it is located on the northeast side of it.
