Aurielle Model ~ Falling
Finally getting to do some beauty work with Aurielle. She is in town for only 2 weeks, so were were lucky to have some free time to make this image..
also i had the pleasure of having one of best Make Up Artist in my surrounding area for this shoot..
Morgan has so many way to do make up, but here is a great example of super clean, yet colorful work..
Morgan and Mom were around to help us make this falling feather look.. they were both on the step stool flanking Aurielle and shaking the feathers from a card board box, we took about 15 shots , and finally we got this perfect shot!
i triggered by using the Cactus V5 and the was enough light to set off the rest of the profotos.. pretty simple..

How do you meter with that many lights? How do you set the power of each so they all compliment each other and you don't get bad shadows? Do you meter each individually with the rest turned off, or do you just meter the entire scene with them all on? Or do you just have a gut feeling from experience?
I've tried to get into multi-strobe lighting recently but I find I always end up with shadows in weird places or I end up with completely flat boring lighthing.

Also, how long does it take you to dial in the lighting just perfectly. I think I spent about 45 minutes today on a shoot experimenting with lights until I got it just right. The model was entirely bored by then.
