    Working with a talented Local DJ... Powder Rogby

    i wanted to create something with color, light, and action..

    concept is him being the master of music, controlling speakers and sound like the Jedi Master..

    hopefully it looks like it.. haha !

    lighting was 2 speed lights in the rear and the Alien Bee for the front lighting at 1/2 power

      Eh, honestly it looks like a cheesy high school assignment (or a low quality dance compilation in the bargain bin); not your usual top notch work.

      I'd go with him actually working the decks/mixer.

      the working the mixer is so over done that is why i didn't go with it..

      most every time you win at the concept not while taking the photo for me.. lighting it up is the easy part, but the concept of the photo is the hard, artistic approach.. guess in your view the concept blows... haha..

      the upper part of the background will have his logo and fonting and event names.. that is why there is empty spacing up above..

      hey it is all a learning experience for me.. and this project is one of the more difficult shoots because it is totally different subject matter than the ones i do have done in the past.. i just don't want to do a simple over done cliche DJ photo..

      It's a really tough call - different genre for you. Can see it with text over, logo etc - loud, targeted etc. Commercial work is so much harder. What does the DJ think about it?
