Tara ~ Aveda Shoot

    Working on my Game..

and what i mean by game is post processing..

the shot was good by it self but... you know.. i like to play around...

2 things i try to do to make a good photo...

    1. get a good file in camera first.
    2. work on your post game.. photoshop and light room are the tools to have.. i recently spent 900 dollars on both and they are worth every penny..

lighting on this shot was 2 lights.

    1. back light was a beauty dish on a boom (Ryan O Hicks) with AB1600 at 1/2 power i think

    2. front key light was plm 64 boomed @ about 1/2 power too..

      Oooo...really nice.
Are the light spots in the back affects via photoshop? They look good, match the back-lighting perfectly. :)

Wow - just wow - I'm going to stare at this one and figure out what you did (in camera, and in computer) for a while now.

Pham - love your work man! in fact it was the pics in your stream and forum comments that convinced me to buy the Quadra.

I like the light in the original and the processing on her face but, IMHO the white flare / spots jump out a bit much for my taste. parts of the image work for me and some parts don't............don't take it the wrong way, just trying to offer feedback :-)

Pham, it's a great shot but I kinda agree with . I think if you pulled it back a notch the flares might work better (might not either LOL).

I like the flare light myself. Adds a hollywood "in the dressing room" feel.

even without photoshop the picture is very strong, but after photoshop it's awesome

    19. Chris Pursell (21 months ago | reply)

I like the original better, its over photoshopped and the flare just draws my eyes away from the model's eyes, especialy the top left flare.

Excellent Pham! I like both the original AND the edit. Very well done my friend. Very professional looking. :)

SOOC is AWESOME; however I do like the PP image as well the three accent lights give it a totally different feel. BOTH work great, and then there is me that hopes to get at least one or the other but both, you're good.

Ok, I thought it was photoshopped in....i like it, it's perfectly placed with the back-lighting itself.
