Wedding Group Shot ~ Crazy Sky

    wedding season is here !

this is one of the largest bridal party i have ever worked with..

a great group and super fun.

64 inch PLM was used for this shot.. one AB1600 at 1/4 power was all i needed to get this..
    that PLM is amazing..
there was light drop off on the group edge and i had to dodge some of the faces.. but still it worked like a charm.

i was just under the plm with my 35MM and the light was just above me, actually i was pushing up on plm slightly.. haha..

Great job on the post work. I would have never known any dodging was done with this. Fantastic group shot. I'm sure they will be thrilled. I'm sure they've never seen a bridal party shot like this!

Wow. The PLM does do a pretty impressive job lighting that size group. Will have to look into that! About how far away was the light from the group?

Wow! One light and only a 64. You are hardcore! Great capture and technically spot on. *jealous*

      UGH
I envy your skies. There are absolutely 0 clouds in the sky during the summer in California.

      Excellent!

You'd have to be out at 11pm for a shot like that here though!

I'm thinking of having some fun t-shirts made for the Phamster Phamclub. They say.... "Pham does it at Dusk"

Love the contrast between the group and the dramatic sky. I was taking group shots yesterday, I don't think I've got one where everyone is looking at camera at the same time!

Wow - this answered a question I've had - how many PLM's to a group? Great exposure on this shot - spot on.

It's really so complicate and hard to set the lighting up to take the picture of a big group more than 10 poeple.Even indoor shooting. You've done an excellent work on this one outdoor.
