Senior ~ Francecsa Antique Alley
started to slow down with the seniors and this gave me an opportunity to work on my post processing skills..
i really want to learn how to manipulate layers and colors and tones.. add textures and effects from filters..
this training is a trial and error process because i have been using photoshop for about 1 1/2 years and still learning how to use all the tools.. adjustment layers and such..
here i added
1. a zoom layer to get that effect by her feet
2. a scratch texture
3. a rusty texture then desaturate to take the yellows and oranges out
all of this was done not to sell to her parents but to mess around with a file and see what i can create.. (classic definition of training for me when i have no teacher)
lighting was 580EX in a softbox westcott.
@ 1/4 power camera left boombed by her mom..
1/250
@2.2
ISO 100

+2. I agree that PP is important, but even if you polish poop in Post it's still awful. A great image to start with makes things easier! I like your work!

What I love about this images is that all the lines seems to point to your subject. Even the lines on the sidewalk.

I need to learn this! Did you just erase the model after adding each layer?
~Phamster~ (25 months ago | reply)
@blnd3ye,
so what i did was put the orginal photo on the bottom and duplicate and desaturated
then
added the texture layers and blended mode to what ever works for the type of textures and feel you want to create..
then
i did erase away the textures from the senior client face and arm... but i left some on the dress.
then
added another layer then did the same thing again..
make sure you play around with the opacity slider too.. that will help adjust blending strengths
give that a try and make sure you let me know when you finish one and i can try to help out but i think you get the idea..
