This is more or less an example of how a macro shot should not look like. Shot in direct sunlight, highlights are blown, unnecessary high iso film. Add ~11 years of fading to that. Yet I love it for it's imperfections and I felt compelled to upload it!

It's more or less straight out of the scanner, I have just made a square crop and sharpened it slightly to compensate for the old scanners optics. :)

Some of my film have survived the passing of time better than others, this one seems almost unaffected. My old Minolta sure produced a nice bokeh!

Scanned from a 11 year old Fuji Reala film negative.

This is a portrait of an old friend, taken in 2001.

Most of my film have faded in various degrees and requires some post-processing after scanning. Even the scanner is old! Fun and nostalgic :)

During the summer, this place is crawling with sunbathers and kids playing in the water. Quite a contrast to the complete silence and solitude I experienced here a few days ago after I got off from work.

The image is a HDR constructed of 7 exposures.
