One of the most intriguing things about your pictures, at least for me (and I'm a complete novice, so feel free to ignore me), is that they're always very softly and distantly focused. On purpose, I'm sure, but it also seems to me as if the slight blurriness makes you look harder and formulate your own ideas. In Hitchcock, for example, he never actually shows you certain messy things (at least in the stuff I've seen), but leaves it hanging for you to assemble your own personal thoughts and fears about. You do almost the same thing, but in a much nicer way. Looking at this, I define your expression for myself, the silence of snow hanging in the air around you, the chill as the winter air seeps through your cream colored dress. The focus is on the tree, the leaves and twigs half buried in the snow, but the actual focal point is on you, and that is what makes this piece extraordinarily elegant and, in a sad sort of way, a longing sort of way, breathtaking.
