april's flowersbrian created this arrangement after we came back from the cherry blossom festival where we saw amazing ikebana on display. he was so inspired, he picked out the best from the yard and put it together. a few hours later, we realized that the hyacinth aroma gave us bad headaches, so it moved to the porch...i really miss them now {sigh!}

prints at nighti found this at ballard camera, an old camera supply store in our neighborhood that closed down this summer. i probably paid closed to what it was worth back in the day. i got it because it brought back memories of my photographer grandfather and all his leftover supplies we used to play with when we were little. these are some blank photo paper postal cards from an old photography supplier called ansco co. in upstate, ny. because of the high quality of their photographic papers they were a major competition for kodak!
