Russia - Moscow - Explosion of Color over Kremlin Gate on the Red Square
Red Square (Russian: Кра́сная пло́щадь, Krásnaya plóshchad’) is the most famous city square in Moscow, and arguably one of the most famous in the world. The square separates the Kremlin, the former royal citadel and currently the official residence of the President of Russia, from a historic merchant quarter known as Kitay-gorod. As major streets of Moscow radiate from here in all directions, being promoted to major highways outside the city, the Red Square is often considered the central square of Moscow and of all Russia.
Not that I would not have great new photos to share, but I'm organizing my portfolio and going through my older shots and finding out some treasure I didnt post before. After taking few more shots of the grey red square I went to have a glass of (probably most expensive ever ) gluehwein / hot red wine (you really need that in the middle of December in Moscow, especially when coming from Middle East). I must have been silently praying to gods of weather to get more drama to my photos and luckily for me, they listened to my prayers and the grey sky had slowly started to turn into amazing sunset. This is a view 1.5 hour after one of "grey" shots I took on the square. I could not believe my eyes when I saw how things can take different shape and color in such a short time, so the learning is – never give up and there might be a light at the end of very grey day. No PP or HDR, just GND filter and longer exposure.

The flow of the clouds give a strong sensation of movement and excitement which adds to the colour - it's the sort of image once seen which abides like a memory, so we all can feel as if we were there for that moment - which is what I enjoy about so many of Lucie's photographs.
