Philippines - The Chocolate Hills - An Unusual Geological Formation on Bohol Island
The Chocolate Hills are an unusual geological formation in Bohol, Philippines. According to the latest accurate survey done, there are 1,776 hills spread over an area of more than 50 square kilometres (20 sq mi). When I visited this unusual place, hills were covered in green grass, however during the dry season, the precipitation is inadequate such that the grass-covered hills dry up and turn chocolate brown. This transforms the area into seemingly endless rows of "chocolate kisses". The branded confection is the inspiration behind the name, Chocolate Hills.
The Chocolate Hills are a famous tourist attraction of Bohol. They are featured in the provincial flag and seal to symbolize the abundance of natural attractions in the province, they have been declared the country's 3rd National Geological Monument and proposed for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

this is beautiful something similar is found in north east India :) and central india too its made due to loose soil and carved out mostly due to river here :)

Dying to shoot this landscape....they caledl this chocolate hill becasue every summer the grasses turn darker.. like brown colors. This is very nice shot! Lucie if you have still time, come back on summer time... you will not be disappointed. have you notice one hills have already change on the cone tip.
