Taiwan - Night at National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Square in Taipei
The National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is a famous monument erected in memory of Chiang Kai-shek, former President of the Republic of China. It is located in Taipei, Taiwan, Republic of China. The monument, surrounded by a park, stands at the east end of the Gate of Great Centrality and Perfect Uprightness. The structure is framed on the north and south by the National Theater and National Concert Hall. The entire plaza is located within sight of the Presidential Office Building.
I was rather surprised how little lit some of the monuments in Taipei are. Not very ideal for blue hour photography. However there is no problem without solution, so I have used ISO 200 & 37 sec exposure time. Imagine how any other monument would be over exposed with such a setting. As I was waiting for the long exposures I have actually started to enjoy the intimate atmosphere of the place. I was told that strong lights are used only for special occasions.

Beautiful, beautiful shot!!! The night sky has such a beautiful shade of color. I absolutely love the symmetry here. And I prefer that the lights are dim, because the calm and serene scene would be lost with strong lights. Excellent work!
