Kuwait - Ripples of Time in Kuwaiti Desert
The Arabian Desert is a vast desert wilderness stretching from Yemen to the Persian Gulf and Oman to Jordan and Iraq. It occupies most of the Arabian Peninsula with an area of 2,330,000 square kilometers (900,000 mi²). The flat, sandy Arabian Desert covers most of Kuwait. The climate is extremely dry, and temperatures oscillate between extreme heat and seasonal night time freezes.
One of the main reasons I moved to Middle East was my love for desert. I knew from the beginning that Kuwait wont present me with over 100 meters high sand dunes which you can find in other countries of Arabian Peninsula, but it is a great base to travel to those countries. I have however heard occasional remark that you can find some nice dunes also in Kuwait. It took me over 2.5 years since I’ve lived here to see such a place, but better later than never. As a bonus to this trip, I have also seen completely white camels, which I have never seen before ! Thank you my friend for taking me there !
