Qatar - Jet Skiing in front of Doha Skyline
Doha (Arabic: الدوحة, ' or ad-Dōḥa) is the capital city of Qatar. With a population of 400,051 according to the 2005, it is located in the Ad Dawhah municipality on the Persian Gulf. Doha is Qatar's largest city, with over 80% of the nation's population residing in Doha or its surrounding suburbs, and is also the economic center of the country. Doha is home to the Education City, an area devoted to research and education. Doha was the site of the first ministerial-level meeting of the Doha Development Round of World Trade Organization negotiations. The city of Doha also held the 2006 Asian Games, which was the world's largest Asian Games held.
This photo was actually meant to be desert shot, however when I’ve seen the overcast sky, I thought the desert photos would not come up as nice due to lack of shadows and I’ve decided to stay in the city instead. Jet Skiing is probably no. 1 leisure activity in the Middle East after shopping and dining out. There are many guys on jet skis during sunset time everyday to show off their skills to the crowd that gathers there. I am not sure how often there is a storm in Qatar but it is probably only once a year in Kuwait, therefore I was really glad to capture this stormy sky with heavy clouds reflecting colors of setting sun on the left side. U shaped corniche allows photographing Doha cityscape without necessity of being on the boat. I've captured many photos like this but I thought that the red JetSki stands out nicely from the shot.

what an amazing capture - this would simply be neat / cool with the city and the moody clouds - but the bright jet ski in front just adds craziness (in a good way) - this could be a cover of a magazine or advertisement somewhere!

Lucie u r truely an amazing artist,the pictures u take r a wonder 2 my eyes. The scenery & info u give with them is out of this world, ur a very creative person.it makes me think wot a novice i am!
