Mongolia - Lonely camel at Khongor Sand Dunes in Gobi Desert
Khongor Sand Dunes are the largest and most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia. Also known as the ‘singing dunes’, they are up to 800 m high, 20 km wide and about 100 km long. Top of the dunes can be climbed and the views of the desert from the top are indescribable.
This shot is from same place as my last post, just different view and time of a day, therefore slightly different light.

Delightful mix of fauna and landscape, difficult exposure conditions, being picky in this case I would prefer slightly less contrast, still more than worthy of publication, the balance of the compo is brilliant.

WOW - what an amazing picture and not what I was expecting at all.
For some reason, when I viewed the thumbnail, I saw to men with backpacks walking towards the bottom left of the picture, hunched over and struggling with their heavy loads.... But its just a camel...
I really like the three layers of landscape. A flat plain, the hilly dunes and what appear to be mountains in the background?
