At some point one begins to hate the image...

The finished product...
I quite like it, yet experienced what I the title says... ^^

Thought I'd share this with you since you had to put up with all those weird egg-pictures ^^

Sorry about the different colors, I had took the pics at different lights and all that -.-

It's a great interpretation of the photo. Thank you for sharing both the finished product and part of the creative process used to get there :)

And I totally know what you mean! I've experienced the same thing with music performance...

Seen on my Flickr home page. (?²ˣ)

    You're amazing

Geez, wow. You're pretty talented! You say that you find it hard to draw/paint the human form. Well, it shows, you've pretty much nailed it here (Well at least the hands and wrist area ;) ). But I understand, that sort of thing when you start to dislike something when looking back at it occurs all the time. It just needs fresh eyes to look at it...

Nice touch with showing the creative process, really adds to the shot. For me, it can be only so easy to just take a photo in its final state.

Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to have to go brush up on my art skills...

Fantastic. And yes, I wonder if that point at which the artist inevitably begins to hate the image is the point at which the image is beginning to assert itself as a being. The moment that it begins to take an undeniable form that is separate from what the artist conceived, but simply itself. The artist must fight to maintain his or her authorship of it, but also allow it to become what it is becoming, and in trying to strike that balance, the hatred forms.

(Please excuse me... reading theory on the train this morning. I'm in that kind of mood) :)
