    listen, this might not be the best picture in the world, but your face is SO photogenic that you can shoot it with any toy camera and it will still turn out beautiful. A natural born model?

    its a very course texture oriented pic...happens to highlight and "pull-out" your freckles... still an excellent pic in my opinion. I read some where that as often as you can change the lighting and exposure / shutter settings, you can get a different feel for the same pic subject and composure.

    (besides, you are photogenic, long lashes, freckles, cute nose, facial structure, etc, etc...)

    I can understand why you don't like it, in terms of its portrayal of you - given how wonderful you always look - whilst this is showing you in a very stark light .that is to say a strong and perhaps severe light.

    From a photographic point of view I think that's what makes it quite appealing, it's obvious to the viewer that nothing is being hidden, and yet still the underlying beauty shines through.

    It's a shame for you to not like such a wonderful shot, and to me, it would be a shame to soften it.

    This is one of my favorites from you! It is a really great portrait and is the opposite of the Pixie Theme of your other photos. Here you look like a beautiful young woman and in the others you appear as a fragile little girl!

    It’s wonderful that you can take something you first wouldn't want to see (the freckles) and make it into something truly beautiful. It is a gift of the artist to let the public see things in a different way. And that is what you do with this kind of images! I like it. It is what they called in the Romantiek the sublime. They were attracted to something they were scared of and at the same time were interested. I think it’s the same with this picture, at first you think: what is this? But at the other side you keep looking at it. That’s what makes a picture interesting: keep looking at it! Tanks for your photos!

    Thanks so much everyone - I guess I was a bit hesitant to upload because it shows me differently, and it's something a bit more different and out there. I think I could have done a better job with the editing - but I wanted to practice this style :)

    And yes - the freckles are all real, however they've been contrasted and emphasised a lot, so they don't really look anything like it in real life
