17 February :: goodbye gift

    One of the gifts I received when I left my job just before Christmas was a lovely double pot with two hyacinth bulbs to plant in it. I’ve been following the instructions to start them off in a cool, dark place and the foliage has really grown now so they have graduated to a cool but light spot in the lounge. One has started to produce its first flower buds too. It was a really thoughtful gift from the girls I worked with and it is really lovely seeing it growing and starting to flower. A great reminder too of the good friends I made whilst working there.
