i think it is lovely -- a rest between two notes -- a moment captured "just before" and "just after" -- love it. and i do like seeing it in context -- appreciate its entirety.

this is great! Lovely contrast. I don't find it violent at all--more a feeling of fragility or anticipation.

I like it - great effect.

First of all great concept. I think I feel more anticipation than anything else... not sure if it will be good or bad but it will all change.

It's brilliant. I can go on looking at the red turning to white or vice versa.

it's lovely, but it actually does look kind of...ominous. like dark spilled blood taking over the pristine white goodness of milk. like death encroaching on life.

found it on explore. how'd you come up with this idea?

    9. crackerjack_ [deleted] (75 months ago | reply)

I think it's spectacular. Not only is it an amazing image, but it's kind of a one chance deal. Great work.

red in an abstract will almost always be perceived as blood...just human nature...

I think this is extrordinary. I think this piece is both violent and serene at the same time. I like the looser crop.

Didn't think at blood at all. Looks more like strawberry to me :) Amazing anyway!

At first I thought it was part of a flower.

I guess if we all saw the same thing, this web site wouldn't exist.

I agree with your friend. It does strongly evoke feelings of blood tarnishing the clean perfection of milk. However, it is very beautiful.

... the violence, indeed, comes from the title. Anyway, it's nice.
