Humpback Whale - Maine - 7/2/2007

    I went on a whale watching boat ride today, and we saw Whales! I got some good shots, and had some fun. A great day.

      I love whale watching in Maine! Last summer, the commercial whale watch boat I was on was able to meet up with a research boat from Allied Whale. They had found a huge group of feeding finbacks and humpbacks. We literally saw dozens of whales in a fairly small area. It was truly an amazing experience.

      Awesome Jon, you must have the whale bug now!!!!!!!! I go and see the orcas here every Sunday now for the Summer, working as a naturalist on a whalewatching boat........ and it is the most amazing experience every single time!
