- that's me and my flash bouncing.
- The latter shots are taken from here looking to the left of this img.
Camera Power
Unlike with wildlife - people think of the camera as a license to shoot, a pass, and wow - that's all I can say, it was so cool.

I really did learn a lot from this shooting adventure.

The people and cheetah shots were setup but all the best planning couldn't make it 100% predictable. Mark and I did 50+ groups in a very short period.
But what I really took away from the night was from a short time after the above image. They brought in the cheetah, I took some shots and realized I needed to get behind the speaker, the cheetah, and capture the moment from behind the events looking out towards the gathered crowd. And, it was ok, I was allowed, and just doing it made it possible. Tada.
This is really what I consider THE image from the event - Laurie Marker on the lower right talking to everyone and the cheetah and handler right there...

The Cheetah and handler both look very unhappy. That had to be a difficult situation to work with.

@Thom - I was asked by someone I knew from the zoo to volunteer to help/shoot the cheetah.org event.
@Naseer - It was a Cheetah.org fundraiser event and the woman Laurie Marker is someone that has raised and released cheetahs in to the wild! Someone said she had taught a cheetah to hunt, and then released it. Wow.
The handlers and cheetah were great and didn't seem unhappy to me. They had a job to do... BTW, that's the cheetah that was on David Letterman's show a couple weeks ago!
