Bald Eagle @ Conowingo Dam, MD
Unlike everywhere else I've been, the eagles at Conowingo let you get close, and actively fly towards the people... This fella was perched along the edge of the parking lot, and was surveying the river for a fish. For some perspective, look at this photo, and note that the eagle above was perched in the trees on the left...

Well, first of all, this is a gorgeous shot.
I used to live in that area, Darlington Md and Bel Air and I used to drive over that dam at least once a month. This was back in the mid 60s but there were no Bald Eagles then. Must be a new addition to the area.
At any rate, you did a fine shot here.

If you don't mind me asking, where is this location? I have been up there twice, and I have yet to get close enough to one of the eagles for a decent picture. All of your eagle shots are beautiful!
